I offer a unique integrative approach which gently brings together a number of deeply interrelated wellbeing interventions to meet my clients’ individual needs. Based on my experience of working with hundreds of clients, and my own personal experiences of living with anxiety, burnout and chronic illnesses, I can draw from many years of practical experience to help you to improve your wellbeing with a kind, gentle and pragmatic approach. Because the healing methodologies I use have a strongly beneficial impact on the autonomic nervous system, I can offer an effective approach which benefits a wide range of health conditions.       <image:caption>Over the last 6 years, in addition to working with clients directly, I have also enjoyed creating and recording content for the Insight Timer App. To date, I have released 15 guided meditations and breathing exercises which are all freely availably to the public, as well as the ground breaking Overcoming Digital Stress &amp; Smartphone Addiction Course which is available for a small fee. My focus has been on developing guided breathwork, meditation and relaxation exercises which bring together different approaches to help users of the app soothe anxiety, relieve pain and relax their bodies. I really enjoy being part of the insight Timer community and recently celebrated reaching 500K plays for which I offer gratitude to all of those who have become followers and listened to my tracks.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - My Story</image:title>
      <image:caption>Anxiety and depression in my early IT career brought me to mindfulness. Learning to ground myself in the present, and change my relationship with my own thoughts and emotions was the first step for me in learning who I really am. But it wasn’t until much later when I reached career burnout that I really discovered the importance of slowing down, relaxing the body and learning how to breathe properly. I realised that one single approach to wellbeing wasn’t enough and so I have spent the last 5 years practicing and training in a variety of additional approaches which I can share with others to help them heal the effects of chronic stress. In my personal life, I absolutely love hiking and climbing. There’s nothing I enjoy more than a day out hiking in the mountains. Climbing in particular has taught me a lot about how a slow, steady and mindful approach to moving and problem solving can completely change my experience. Once frantic and goal driven, I now approach my life with care, consideration and balance. This helps to reduce muscle tension, repair the nervous system (via the Vagus nerve) and support restful nourishing sleep. We will explore these practices together in-session, and then audio recordings are provided for you to listen to in between sessions.       <image:caption>Self compassion can be a powerful ally in soothing our own suffering. By learning to offer yourself kindness in the midst of the most difficult moments, you can find ease, and make the unbearable bearable. On a practical level, learning to offer yourself soothing touch, by placing your hands over your heart, or on your belly, releases Oxytocin, the “Hug Hormone”. And this helps to calm the nervous system and create feelings of safety. Self compassion also helps to soften the inner critic and melt toxic shame. By learning to be kinder and gentler to yourself you can discover a deeper level of healing for your mind and body.</image:caption>
